Protect Birds In Northern Arizona
Since 1970, North America has lost nearly 3 billion birds—more than one in four—due to habitat loss, climate change, and human activity. In Northern Arizona, these challenges are even more pronounced. Nearly 50% of aridland bird habitats have been lost since 1968, and species like the Pinyon Jay have declined by over 83.5% in the last five decades. These statistics underscore the urgent need for conservation efforts to protect and restore bird populations in our region.
