Asian strays and Arctic breeders make western Alaska one of the most exciting birding destinations in North America. While guided trips are a great way to visit this area, Nome and Adak are fantastic choices for a self-guided Alaskan adventure.

When: Doors open at 5:30. Snacks provided. Program begins at 6:00 pm.

Speaker: Jason Wilder.

Jason Wilder has been a Flagstaff resident and active in the local birding community since 2008. When he's not chasing his goal of 400 bird species in Coconino County, he is a local eBird reviewer, has vetted records of rare birds as a member of the Arizona Bird Committee, is Vice-president of Research for Northern Arizona University, and occasionally teaches Ornithology at NAU.
